Jodorowsky’s visionary metaphysical western El Topo, which became an art house sensation in 1971 after the film received the enthusiastic endorsements of John Lennon, became a landmark cult film classic, credited with launching the midnight movie madness indie cinema revolution of the 1970s.
The music was composed by Alejandro Jodorowsky with additional input from conductor John Barham. The soundtrack was recorded at Abbey Road Studio and originally released by Apple Records in 1971.
This 180-gram vinyl includes an 8-page booklet with new liner notes by acclaimed musician and songwriter Gary Lucas and stills from the film.
