Simone's first studio album with Colpix contains some great singing and piano from Simone as well as fine, subtle accompaniment on guitar from Al Schackman. When she signed to Colpix in 1959 she was granted complete creative control over her music. This new freedom gave her the ability to explore new subject areas, particularly themes dealing with civil rights. 180 gram vinyl.
