The rhythmic details of his prime-time groove-drenched sound haven't fully developed, nor does this have the idiosyncratic militant passion in its lyricism, but them horns are sublimely spicy here. My lord, some of these early arrangements already own on so many levels, especially for its year. Somewhat rudimentary, but this halfway between afrobeat and highlife is a already a sign of things to come.
