Until his masterpiece Obnoxius was reissued in 2016, it was believed that Brazilian musician José Mauro was long dead, possibly ‘disappeared’ by the country’s savage military dictatorship in the Seventies. Happily, however, Mauro is alive and well, and has given his blessing to this reissue of overlooked 1976 album A Viagem Das Horas, with the addition of three previously unreleased tracks from the same sessions.
