Originally released in 1980, The Return Of Pipecock Jackxon is the last LP to emerge from Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry’s legendary Black Ark Studio. It also concluded the series that began with Super Ape and also spawned records like Police And Thieves. The legendary Black Ark sound is in full effect here, with Perry muddying up his mixes with all kinds of strange atmospheres. Some fine songwriting still manages to shine, mind. Reissued by Honest Jon's.
