Frosted Clear Vinyl - Fast Edit is the second LP made by Still House Plants - the Glasgow and South London-based three-piece made up of Finlay Clark, David Kennedy, and Jessica Hickie-Kallenbach. Written aided by mobile phones, dictaphones, laptop recordings of rehearsals, conversations and live shows, Fast Edit is a collage of different fidelities and headspaces, most tenderly exhibited on album centrepiece Shy Song, and framed in the editions of Getting Murky, Crreeaase and September put down in the studio. In the year spent writing this record, Still House Plants lived more separately, together for shows and home alone, and in between they learned to save and build on everything made. Fast Edit collates their notes, overlaying past editions with new versions, pulling focus from the record itself to the room it was recorded in and inviting you to see the seams. PredikateD is a phone on the ground but the voice is air, the guitar and drums melding with the plywood and sand wall structure. It was a simple room.
